Fresh Fare: Food Truck Catering at Your Wedding

wedding-food-truck

Hiring a food truck to cater your rustic wedding can give your guests a special experience when it comes time to break bread together. Whether you are looking for tacos, hamburgers, cupcakes, or ice cream I guarantee there is a food truck out there that can help serve your wedding. One of my favorite wedding trends is the idea of having a food tuck show up late night at your venue or your after party spot to feed guest as they start to get hungry again after all that dancing. Think about having an ice cream food truck for late night desserts or a pizza food truck to serve your guests.

Not only does a food truck (or more than just one!) lend an atmosphere of whimsy and novelty, but it’s also a great opportunity to celebrate the food that brought you and your fiancé together in the first place!

Using a food truck at a rustic wedding venue can save lots of money compared to standard catering services and solve planning problems for venues without major kitchen facilities – by putting the kitchen on wheels! Looking for a food truck in your area check out a few of the food truck directories.

I especially love how the array of food trucks to cater your event can be so easily matched to your theme. How about serving your guests a taste of Maine in Manhattan at a nautically themed wedding? Luke’s Lobster Nauti’s ivory, blue and pink truck could blend so well into a rustic seaside wedding design scheme, or bring the freshness of the waterfront to the concrete jungle.

Food trucks are emerging as a fun and accessible trend for the bride and groom who care about food. For some of your guests, it may be the first time they’ve had the food truck experience since the summers of their youth, when they reached up to exchange some coins for a cool frozen treat. Conjuring and creating such delightful memories? I’ll ride with that!

If you’re a New Yorker, check out some of the local food truck fare (found via Yelp):

Two Pitas in a Pod, for fresh falafel and Mediterranean dishes.

Luke’s Lobster Nauti Mobile, serving up “the freshest, most affordable lobster roll, straight from the docks of Maine.”

The Treats Truck hits a home run at dessert with classically delicious treats for you and your guests to enjoy.

I must say it’s a brilliant concept to hire food truck for guests in wedding parties. It could be an awesome experience for anyone. Even lots of people love to hire them as well.

Since we fell in love over breakfast– we will be doing breakfast enchiladas, pineapple skewers, and homemade chips and salsa. FRESSA was willing to make us any food that we wanted and stuck to our budget. I just hope our guests like the idea as much as we do!

That’s no small savings! What kind of food will it be serving?
